Resumen
The objective with this research was to analyze the users ́ profile of the virtual museums available onthe "Era Virtual" website. For this purpose, an exploratory investigation was performed with the participation of 70 respondents using the online survey (Google Forms). Data were collected regarding the visitors' knowledge of virtual museums; connecting time throughout the day; time spent visiting the museum; level of satisfaction; ease in handling and navigating environments; use of technology in museums; and the use of social media. The results allow realizing observations and reflections on how visitors/users deal with the new resources and how these new tools can be better disclosed and utilized by these visitors/users in order to improving the actions of the museums. It is concluded that the demand for information about museums exists by the public; however, it is necessary to potentialize the information media to occur a better communication between museum and the public.
