Resumen
This study aimed to evaluate the applicability of the determinations of Regulatory Norm 35 (NR-35) - Work in Height in the forest sector, specifically in the activity of harvesting seeds in large trees of planted and native forests. It was sought to draw a parallel to compare this with other activities in height in the sector, such as urban forest management, forest inventory, ecological tourism and research.
Through the application of check lists, it was verified the incidence of non-conformities in compliance with the determinations of the Standard for the mentioned activities and, in light of the socioeconomic context of each of them, the interpretation of the obtained results was made. It was checked that the seed collection activities in native and planted forests presented, respectively, 88.0% and 4.0% of noncompliance in observance with the relevant determinations of NR-35, which was considered directly related to the degree of financial investment in qualification, the socioeconomic impact of the activities and the visibility of each of them. In order to improve the indices pertinent to the collection of seeds in native forests, it is proposed the investment by the purchasers of the production, such as the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, having as counterpart the increase in productivity, the fulfillment of social constraints and the attendance to Standards of production chain certification to which they are or may be submitted.
