Resumen
At the same time that it still belongs to Kant’s hermeneutics of Besserverstehen, that is, to understand an author better than he understood himself, the theory of translation from Friedrich Schlegel postulates the necessity of philological rigidity and the observation of the letter and the spirit of the text to be translated. The article investigates and discusses the aproximation between philology and the theories of translation from the Early German Romanticism, especially in the theorizations of Friedrich Schlegel, Friedrich von Hardenberg, Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher and August Wilhelm Schlegel.
