Resumen
Introduction: Depression has been one of the main causes of disability in the 21st century, with drug and psychological interventions being the most widely used form of treatment. However, this disorder affects multiple functions in the individual. Objective: This article aims to articulate the neuropsychological, neurobiological and psychotherapeutic contributions to possible interventions in the Major Depression Disorder from an integrative bibliographic review. Methods: Articles published in the last 30 years, indexed in SCIELO, PUBMED and LILAC were researched. The articles were analyzed according to their relevance and contribution to the study. Results: The findings corroborate the importance of a more comprehensive treatment. Interventions based on Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, Behavioral Cognitive Therapy and Pharmacology are found, which will propose a multidisciplinary treatment considering the cognitive, behavioral and neurobiological aspects of the patient. Conclusion: These connections open perspectives for future studies in which multidisciplinary research can more effectively assist in the treatment of mental disorders.
