Resumen
Teenage pregnancy in Brazil represents a public health problem, as evidenced by
the growing rate of ever earlier pregnancies in primary care. The objective of this
study was to demonstrate the sociodemographic characteristics of teenage
pregnancy. For this we used the situational strategic planning method, after
identifying the problem and situational diagnosis of the coverage area; integrative
literature review in the database of Bireme with the descriptors: teenage pregnancy;
attention to health and adolescents; social class and demographics; conducted
search data in articles, in SIAB, data collection in the FHS, interviews and participant
observation area and were incluided in this study articles published between the
years 2010 to 2014. Studies have shown that teenage pregnancy is associated with
several factors such as younger age for sexual initiation due to consumption of drugs
and alcohol, lack of information about contraceptive methods, among others. In this
respect this study presents three proposals for interventions to reduce teenage
pregnancy, based in We found critical. Thus, it is considered that multidisciplinary
interventions with public policies of prevention and support in Pregnancy in
Adolescence occurrences, joint campaigns and actions with the Education serrem
run in schools with sexual health projects, systematically educational activities for the
prevention of early pregnancy to students and parents with guidance on
contraception, prevention and STDs, alcoholism and the influence of media on the
family dynamic reduce the number of teenage pregnancies.
