Propuesta de proceso para la migración de servicios A Cloud en empresas Tic

Abstract

Cloud computing technologies have made great advances over the last few decades, now they have become an essential part of everyday life not only for businesses but also for people. Due to the rise of cloud computing services today, it is important to solve the dilemma of a lot of organizations, how to migrate their services to the cloud? as this is a growing trend worldwide. This monograph provides a proposal for a methodological guide that would help in the understanding of this process, through an investigation that included Cloud service administrator personnel, the documentation of good practices proposed by the main Cloud service providers, companies in the guild and other previous investigations, also through the knowledge obtained in each of the subjects of the specialization in IT service management, which allowed defining, developing and synthesizing each of the parts of this document. It is necessary to consider that during the development of this monograph several questions were raised, such as what infrastructure or applications should be migrated? Comparison of economic costs and administrative effort of Cloud vs. On-premise services, among other factors; in order to be able to extract a migration model obtained by comparing the theoretical knowledge with the practical knowledge and experience obtained by the IT staff of a Telecommunications company in Colombia, thus offering certain guidelines that allow minimizing the risk that an organization would face when not having experience or precise knowledge about this process, and focusing only on the benefits that cloud computing offers. This document can be a reference sheet at the time that any company or professional decides to start the migration process of On-premise services to the Public Cloud.
