Resumen
This research work is mainly interested in understanding the scope of Freestyle as an innovative technique for collecting narratives under the perspective of poetic research for the analysis of the identity construction of a HIP HOP artist of the STREET HOPE group, following the research line of “Identities and Subjectivities” from a qualitative approach. This is how the choice of the Hermeneutic paradigm is considered coherent, since it makes possible the interpretation of the experiences lived by the participant and the way in which he gives them meaning, connecting with the epistemology of social constructionism in which the meanings of his poetic oral narratives are observed through freestyle, with respect to his subjective experiences and specific vision of reading reality. In this way the collection of information is given through 3 moments, firstly the participant observation to the artistic context where the subject is immersed, secondly an in-depth interview is carried out and finally the Freestyle RAP method is used as a technique of collection of identity narratives. For this reason, a categorical analysis was carried out on the information collected from the second and third moments based on three categories, which are: Identity, Poetic Research and RAP. The results obtained in the categorical analysis demonstrate the relevance of Freestyle in psychological research on the identity construction processes of the participant and as an innovative methodology within poetic research.
