Sentido de comunidad y preservación de conocimientos y expresiones culturales tradicionales de los pueblos Piapoco y Achagua, en el resguardo indígena La Victoria del departamento del Meta

Abstract

In the La Victoria indigenous reservation they seek to strengthen his culture by making visible and recovering the practice of traditional expressions and knowledge. For this, the investment of work and time by the people who can be mobilized by their sense of community (SC) is essential. Therefore, this qualitative research sought to understand the SC in relation to cultural expressions and knowledge, identifying the relationship mainly in factors such as membership, which allows them to identify themselves as indigenous of Piapoco and/or Achagua descent; also, in their shared emotional connection where their history of fighting for territory, their spirituality and community meeting spaces such as festivals and religious ceremonies are important; and, from the integration and fulfillment of needs, which explains how cultural practices are diminished given that they must carry out other activities considered non-cultural to meet their basic needs such as food, clothing, access to public services, among others, through an economic income. It is identified that the sense of community contributes to the practice of traditional cultural expressions and knowledge, these can be strengthened from ethnic education and articulated with the organization of events promoting community participation such as the Yuca Brava Festival, where tourists can attend, generate economic income and make their cultural practices visible as an alternative solution for strengthening their culture and identity.
