Residual hip dysplasia is a pathology of multifactorial origin characterized by alterations in the formation and normal development of the hips. In its natural course, patients can have definitive sequelae in their adulthood, so their focus and treatment must be precise and adequate. Diagnostic tools are needed to improve its evaluation, staging and to define whether or not surgical treatment is required. Objective: To determine the usefulness of hip MRI in the study of residual hip dysplasia in patients between 3 and 8 years of age. . Design: Retrospective cross-sectional study in which 23 patients with a diagnosis of residual dysplasia were included, evaluated with radiography and hip MRI from 2015 to 2021. Analysis of the imaging variables was performed during follow-up to establish a treatment strategy for his dysplasia
