In the last century there has been a population growth that has directly influenced factors such as energy consumption, generating in the short and long term an accelerated exploitation of hydrocarbons and natural resources. For this reason and speaking from an economic, energetic, social and ecological field, it is questioned how efficient an alternative energy source system becomes compared to conventional energy source systems. For this, it was proposed to carry out an environmental prefeasibility of substitution of conventional energy sources with piezoelectric tiles for public lighting of the Usaquén Park, which was developed from the study of a specific sample, an evaluation of environmental impact and the necessary elements to take into account for a later stage of feasibility. According to the above, it was determined not only that the piezoelectric system is accepted by the community of the sector, but that it manages to supply the park's public lighting energy and, in turn, supplies the need to plant hectares of forest that capture the CO2 emitted by a source of conventional energy.
