Factores de riesgo asociados al retardo del crecimiento intrauterino en recién nacidos en el hospital Santa María del Socorro enero a diciembre 2021

Resumen
Objetivo: Identificar los factores de riesgo asociados al retardo del crecimiento
intrauterino en recién nacidos en el Hospital Santa María del Socorro – Enero a
Diciembre 2021.
Metodología. Es una investigación de tipo básica, es observacional, transversal,
retrospectiva. En una población de 1488 niños se seleccionó 108 niños con
retraso del crecimiento intrauterino (RCIU) se seleccionó 118 casos (RN con
RCIU) y 118 controles (RN sin RCIU). Datos obtenidos a través de una ficha de
recolección de datos. Resultados: El 16,1% (19) de recién nacidos fueron de
madres con menos de 20 años de edad, 83,9% (198) de madres con igual a más
de 20 años, 16,1% (38) tuvieron hipertensión arterial, 33,1% (78) eran anémicas,
11,9% (28) tenían diabetes mellitus, 14,4% (34) eran obesas y 19,5% (46) tenían
menos de 6 Controles Prenatales. La edad menor de 20 años tienen más
probabilidad de tener hijos con RCIU p= 0.013 OR= 2,5 (IC95%: 1.2-5.2 La
Hipertensión Arterial en la madre aumenta la probabilidad de tener hijos con
RCIU p= 0.001 OR= 3,4 (IC95%: 1.5-7,3), La presencia de anemia en la madre
aumenta la probabilidad de tener hijos con RCIU 0.000 OR= 3.3 (IC95%: 1.9-
5,9), La presencia de diabetes mellitus en la madre aumenta la probabilidad de
tener hijos con RCIU p= 0.001 OR= 4.3 (IC95%: 1.7-10,98), La presencia de
obesidad en la madre aumenta la probabilidad de tener hijos con RCIU p= 0.001
OR= 3.9 (IC95%: 1.6-8,99) y las gestantes con menos de 6 Controles Prenatales
aumentan la probabilidad de tener hijos con RCIU p= 0.000 OR= 3.6 (IC95%:
1.7-7,3).
Conclusión: La edad menor de 20 años, la hipertensión durante la gestación, la
anemia de la madre, la diabetes, la obesidad y el número de atenciones
prenatales menor de 6 son factores asociados al RCIU.
