Edad materna avanzada como factor de riesgo de complicaciones obstetricia en pacientes atendidas en servicio de obstetricia del hospital nacional dos de mayo, periodo 2018, Lima-Perú

OBJETIVOS: El objetivo es determinar la edad materna avanzada como
factor de riesgo de complicaciones obstétricas. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS:
Se efectuó una investigación analítica, longitudinal, retrospectiva,
observacional, con un nivel de investigación de tipo correlacional en el
Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo en el año 2018. La población de estudio
fueron todas las gestantes que se atendieron en el periodo mencionado. La
muestra lo conformaron las gestantes añosas (grupo expuesto de 140
pacientes) y gestantes entre 20 y 34 años (grupo no expuesto de 140
pacientes). Se empleó el Chi-cuadrado para establecer la asociación (con
nivel de confianza del 95%) y el Riesgo relativo como asociación, muestreo
no probabilístico por conveniencia. RESULTADOS: Entre los resultados se
halló la edad materna avanzada no mostró asociación significativa con las
complicaciones obstétricas como la diabetes gestacional, parto pretérmino y
preeclampsia. De otro lado se encontró la edad materna avanzada fue un
factor protector para placenta previa (RR=0.40; p=0.041; IC95%: 0.16 –
1.00). CONCLUSIONES: Se concluye que la edad materna avanzada no es
un factor de riesgo para la diabetes gestacional, preeclampsia y parto
pretérmino; no obstante, la edad avanzada se consideró factor protector para
placenta previa con significancia estadística.
