EFECTIVIDAD DE LOS ANTIBIÓTICOS PROFILÁCTICOS PARA LA DISMINUCIÓN DE BACTERIURIA EN LOS EXÁMENES DE URODINÁMIA

El estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo; diseño revisión sistemática. Se encontraron 10 artículos en bases de datos de Medline, Pubmed, Cochrane, Dialnet, Scielo, Bvs. Los artículos fueron sometidos a una lectura crítica, utilizando el sistema Grade para determinar la calidad de la evidencia y la fuerza de recomendación. La revisión de una pregunta formulada utiliza métodos sistemáticos para identificar, seleccionar y evaluar críticamente la investigación, los datos relevantes obtenidos se incluyen en la revisión. Resultados: De toda la selección de estudios obtenidos se eligieron 10 artículos de las cuales el 30% (3/10) corresponden a revisión sistemática, 30% (3/10) a ensayo clínico aleatorizado, 20% (2/10) a estudio prospectivo, 10% (1/10) a estudio retrospectivo y 10% (1/10) a estudio de cohortes. De los 10 artículos revisados sistemáticamente 90% (9/10) confirman que el uso de antibióticos disminuye la incidencia de bacteriuria en pacientes con factores de riesgo tales como edad, antecedentes patológicos (diabetes mellitus, lesiones medulares, multíparas, afecciones del músculo de piso pélvico). Conclusiones: El estudio concluyó al 90% (9/10) que los antibióticos profilácticos son efectivos en la reducción del índice de bacteriuria en pacientes de grupo de riesgo después del examen de urodinamia.
