Eficacia de la oxigenoterapia suplementaria para disminuir la infección del sitio quirúrgico en pacientes en perioperatorio

Resumen
Objetivo: Sistematizar las evidencias sobre la eficacia de oxigenoterapia suplementaria para disminuir la infección del sitio quirúrgico en pacientes en perioperatorio. Material y Métodos: Revisión sistemática retrospectiva y observacional sujetos a lectura crítica y usando como herramienta de evaluación el sistema GRADE para la identificación de la calidad de las evidencias científicas publicadas en las siguientes fuentes de información Elsevier, Scielo, PubMed y Epistemonikos. De los 10 artículos revisados sistemáticamente el 100% de alta calidad como se describe a continuación: el 60% (n= 6/10) son metaanálisis, 10% (n= 1/10) es revisión sistemática y el 30% (n= 3/10) son ensayos controlado aleatorizado y pertenecen a los países de Estados Unidos (40%), seguida de Dinamarca (10%), Inglaterra (10%), China (10%), Francia (10%), Italia (10%) e Israel (10%). Resultados: El 60% (n=6/10) señalan que la oxigenoterapia suplementaria es eficaz para disminuir la infección del sitio quirúrgico en pacientes en perioperatorio. El 40% (n=4/10) señalan que la oxigenoterapia suplementaria no es eficaz para disminuir la infección del sitio quirúrgico en pacientes en perioperatorio. Conclusión: La oxigenoterapia suplementaria es eficaz para disminuir la infección del sitio quirúrgico en pacientes en perioperatorio
