Los niños que reciben lactancia materna de medios expuestos pueden incrementar niveles de plomo en sangre. A pesar de que se han establecido acciones dirigidas a disminuir la exposición ambiental a plomo, la intoxicación por este metal, continua siendo un problema de salud pública, principalmente en población de riesgo.
