Relación entre la maduración esquelética cervical y la calcificación dentaria en radiografias de un centro radiográfico, Arequipa

Abstract

El método investigativo utilizado para realizar la presente investigación es de tipo descriptivo, donde se seleccionaron 194 personas que acudieron al centro radiográfico, entre los 8 y 16 años. Se evaluó la relación utilizando el método de Baccetti y el método de Demirjian. Se señala que cuando tenemos calcificaciones del segundo molar igual en C, D y E lo más probable es encontrar maduraciones cervicales de valor 1, mientras que cuando tenemos calcificaciones en F y G lo más probable es encontrar maduraciones cervicales de valor 3 y 4 y cuando la calcificación molar es H lo más probable es encontrar maduraciones cervicales con el valor de 6. Con los resultados encontrados confirmamos que hay una relación en ambas variables y poder aseverar que con la ayuda de una radiografía panorámica se puede estimar la maduración esquelética cervical de un paciente mediante la evaluación de los estadios de calcificación dentaria

The research method used to carry out the present investigation was descriptive, where 194 persons between 8 and 16 years of age who attended the radiographic center were selected. The relationship was evaluated using Baccetti's method and Demirjian's method. It is pointed out that when we have calcifications of the second molar equal in C, D and E the most probable is to find cervical maturities of value 1, while when we have calcifications in F and G the most probable is to find cervical maturities of value 3 and 4 and when the molar calcification is H the most probable is to find cervical maturities with the value of 6. With the results found we confirm that there is a relationship in both variables and we can assert that with the help of a panoramic radiograph we can estimate the cervical skeletal maturation of a patient by means of the evaluation of the stages of dental calcification
