Resumen
La parasitosis intestinal en el Perú constituye un problema de salud pública ya que dentro de las 10 principales causas de muerte se encuentran las enfermedades infecciosas intestinales, mencionándose que uno de cada tres peruanos porta uno o más parásitos en el intestino. En este sentido la población infantil y menos favorecida suele ser la más afectada presentando los casos más severos. El objetivo de la investigación, determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a la prevalencia de enteroparasitosis en niños en edad escolar del AA.HH. Juan Velasco Alvarado Mollepata. Ayacucho, 2012, la población de estudio fue 184 niños en edad escolar del AA. HH. Juan Velasco Alvarado - Mollepata de 6 a 16 años de ambos sexos con residencia habitual en la asociación Juan Velasco Alvarado. Los resultados del estudio son: prevalencia del parasitismo intestinal es del 90.2%, determinado en una población de 184 niños en edad escolar del AAHH Juan Velasco Alvarado del sector de Mollepata - Ayacucho; mientras que el 9.8% resultó negativo. En conclusión, existe relación de asociación entre los factores de riesgo biológicos y socioculturales con la prevalencia de enteroparasitosis (p< 0.05).
