El presente estudio se propuso determinar la frecuencia de los estilos de vida con respecto a actividad física, alimentación, higiene personal y autoestima en relación con el autoconcepto, en estudiantes de 8 a 12 años residentes en Chía, Cundinamarca, de colegios oficiales para el año 2010 a través de un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Cuestionario de Hábitos de Vida Saludable, diseñado y validado por las autoras y la Escala de autoconcepto infantil de Piers–Harris. Se observo que La frecuencia y duración de actividad física de los niños se encuentra por debajo de lo recomendado; existen adecuados hábitos de higiene y la mayoría de los niños tienen un autoconcepto moderadamente alto y medio.
