(p-valor 0,000 < α = 0,05). The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a tutorial learner
training program in order to improve second year students’ democratic coexistence at
Republica de Venezuela secondary school, Iquitos. The study type was evaluative or
experimental and the design was field study, contemporary transectional, univariable, and
quasi experimental with control group, pre-test and post-test. The population was made up
by 260 students with a non-probabilistic sample of 69 divided into the control group with
34 students (2
nd
A) and the experimental group with 35 students (2
nd
B). The data
gathering tools were a valid and reliable observation guide and a Likert scale. Results,
after implementing the learner training program, show that the experimental group
outperformed by far the control group as their mean scores were higher (66.538 > 16.643)
out of 100, with a standard deviation of 2.3239 and 1.6655 respectively. The same happens
with the variable indicators: Classroom rules compliance (66.837 > 16.912). Active
participation (67.582 > 16.176). Practice of core values (67.418 > 16.459). Interpersonal
relationships (64.107 > 17.034). It is concluded that the tutorial learner training program
based on the raise responsibility system improves significantly students’ democratic
coexistence and indicators, accepting the alternative hypothesis. (p-value 0.000 < α =
0.05).
