RESUMEN
Con el objetivo de estudiar el ciclo estral y fertilidad en borregas de razas especializadas, durante una evaluación anual bajo condiciones del Centro Experimental Casaracra UNDAC Pasco, se condujo una investigación observacional, descriptivo, prospectivo. Entre las coordenadas 11o 27´47´96´´ latitud sur y 75º57´30´22´ longitud oeste del meridiano de Greenwich, a una altitud de 3,812 m.s.n.m. Se utilizaron borregas de seis razas; Corriedale (6), Dohne merino (15), East frisiean (14), Finnish landrace (5), Poll Dorset (10) y Texel (8). Los datos fueron tabulados en tablas Excel y luego ordenados y procesados mediante estadística descriptiva, media, desviación estándar, coeficiente de variación. La información obtenida fué analizada mediante la prueba de chí – cuadrado. Las razas de mejores parámetros de ciclicidad corresponden a las razas East Friesian y Texel, que son las que repiten menos (33.33 %), respecto a las otras razas. Bajo las condiciones ambientales y de crianza del Centro Experimental Casaracra UNDAC, la raza Texel, destaca por su corta duración del ciclo estral respecto a otras razas. La raza finish landrace y El Texel, representaron la mayor tasa de fertilidad (120; 125 %), respecto a las demás razas.En general la raza Finish Landrace muestra menor días de gestación, seguido por la raza Texel.
