El objetivo de esta monografía es conocer y reunir la mejor evidencia disponible respecto a la rehabilitación del edéntulo parcial a extremo libre, a las diferentes modalidades clínicas de tratamiento en la planificación, paralelizado, diseño, selección de los tipos de conectores y retenedores, preparación en boca e impresiones, en base a la literatura actual Dentistry is science and art, it is eminently rehabilitating by nature, within its different specialized areas is the Removable Partial Prosthesis, which is widely used for the treatment of partial edentulous, is a good treatment alternative to rehabilitate partial edentulous; due to its economic cost, is more accessible to the low-income population compared to other types of dental prosthesis than its high price of materials, clothing and little accessible to the rest of the population.
Since 1932, partial dentures made of nickel-chromium and nickel-chromium alloys have been introduced in recent titanium alloys, the removable partial dentures have had technical innovations in all their fields of construction, especially since these alloys are relatively easy to work. It will be important to follow a step-by-step working protocol, from clinical evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan for the partial to free end edentulous patient, it is vital to perform a good parallelization and design, select the appropriate connectors and retainers, without neglecting the preparation in the mouth of the pillars, making an impression taking with great precision.
The objective of this monograph is to know and gather the best available evidence regarding the rehabilitation of partial edentum to free extremity, the different clinical modalities of treatment in planning, parallelization, design, selection of types of connectors and retainers, preparation in mouth and impressions, based on the current literature
