Enfoque fisioterapéutico en pinzamiento femoroacetabular

Abstract

El pinzamiento femoroacetabular es una alteración de la morfología en la estructura coxofemoral, caracterizada por un choque entre el cuello femoral y el labrum y el reborde acetabular que conduce a la degeneración del labrum y del cartílago articular y, en consecuencia, a la artrosis de cadera. Su prevalencia es complicado de determinar por la escasa investigación de dicha patología, el diagnóstico es imprescindible para no equivocarnos en el tratamiento adecuado de la patología por ende se realiza un diagnóstico diferencial. La evaluación se da mediante examinación subjetiva, examinación física y estudios radiológicos. Se demostró que el tratamiento más efectivo es el quirúrgico y se expuso diferentes ejercicios y estrategias de tratamiento fisioterapéutico pre y post quirúrgico sobre dicha patología.

Femoroacetabular impingement is an alteration of the morphology in the coxofemoral structure, characterized by a clash between the femoral neck and the labrum and the acetabular rim that leads to the degeneration of the labrum and the articular cartilage and, consequently, to osteoarthritis of the hip. Its prevalence is complicated to determine by the scarce investigation of this pathology, the diagnosis is essential so as not to be mistaken in the adequate treatment of the pathology, therefore a differential diagnosis is made. The evaluation is given by subjective examination, physical examination and radiological studies, the treatment is based on drugs, surgical and physiotherapeutic.
