Consecuencias de la perdida de dimension vertical en pacientes edentulos parciales mayores de 50 años en el hospital regional Hermilio Valdizan Medrano Huanuco 2019

Resumen
OBJETIVO: Determinar las consecuencias de la pérdida de dimensión
vertical en pacientes edéntulos parciales mayores de 50 años en el Hospital
Regional Hermilio Valdizán Medrano Huánuco 2019. MATERIALES Y
MÉTODOS: De acuerdo a la investigación el estudio pertenece al nivel
descriptivo, Observacional, Retrospectivo, de corte Transversal.
RESULTADOS: Respecto a las consecuencias de la perdida de la
dimensión vertical, el 31% de pacientes presentaron una oclusión colapsada
leve, el 41% de pacientes presentaron una oclusión colapsada moderada,
mientras que el 28% de pacientes presentaron una oclusión colapsada
severa como consecuencia de la perdida de la dimensión vertical. Se
observó que el 97% de pacientes presentaron pérdida de soporte labial
como consecuencia de la pérdida de la dimensión vertical, mientras que el
3% de pacientes no presentaron pérdida de soporte labial. Se observó que
la mayor frecuencia de las medidas de la distancia del ojo a la oreja derecha
fue de 68.24- 71.12 mm (43%) y la medición que presentaba menor
frecuencia fue 77.18- 80.06 mm (2%) mientras que en las medidas de la
distancia del ojo a la oreja izquierda la medida con mayor frecuencia fue un
promedio de 68.78- 70.97 mm (30%) y la de menor frecuencia fue 75.65-
77.84 mm (1%) y la medida de la distancia de la espina nasal al mentón la
medida que tuvo mayor frecuencia fue de 57.04- 60.06 mm (29%) y la de
menor frecuencia fue la medida de 77.94- 80.13 mm (4%). CONCLUSIÓN:
En cuanto a las consecuencias de la perdida de la dimensión vertical, se
tuvo como resultado que el 31% presentaron oclusión colapsada leve, el
41% de presentaron oclusión colapsada moderada y el 28% presentaron una
oclusión colapsada severa como consecuencia de la perdida de la dimensión
vertical.
