MEJORAMIENTO DE LA CAPACIDAD DE SOPORTE DE LA SUBRASANTE MEDIANTE LA APLICACIÓN DE SAVIA DE SABILA EN LA CARRETERA LA ESPERANZA – MALCONGA, KM 5 MATAMARCA - 2018

La presente investigación se planteó con el objetivo de mejorar la
subrasante una carretera, utilizando la savia de sábila como material cohesivo
a fin de garantizar que el suelo de composición pueda ser utilizado como capa
subrasante. La investigación realizada es una investigación aplicada,
cuantitativo, experimental y transversal, La evaluación comparativa se realizó
entre la capacidad de soporte del suelo patrón de la zona y la capacidad de
soporte del suelo mejorado con una dosificación óptima de savia de sábila
adquirida en laboratorio. La población estuvo constituida por la Carretera La
Esperanza – Malconga de 12 km de longitud y la muestra está constituida por
1 Km desde el km 4 hasta el km 5, considerado por criterios de la mecánica de
suelos. La técnica que se aplicó fue el Estudio de Mecánica de Suelos por
medio de 5 calicatas, ensayos en campo como densidad de campo, CBR in situ
y ensayos en laboratorio, los instrumentos que se utilizó fueron la ficha de
recolección de datos en campo, formatos de ensayos en campo y laboratorio.
Según el estudio realizado se obtuvo un valor promedio del 3% para la
capacidad de soporte (CBR) del suelo patrón lo cual no cumple con las
especificaciones del Manual de Carreteras EG - 2013 y realizando el
mejoramiento con la savia de sábila se obtuvo un valor promedio de 10%.
También se obtuvo que el porcentaje de expansión de un suelo patrón es de
3.72% y aplicando un 25% de savia de sábila se llegó a obtener un 2.61%.
Por lo tanto, se concluyó que si es posible mejorar el suelo de la
subrasante aplicando savia de sábila en un 7% y tener una estabilidad
volumétrica de un 70.16% en la carretera La Esperanza- Malconga a fin de
poder utilizar el suelo como capa subrasante.
