El presente trabajo de investigación se plantea por la problemática actual de las
autoconstrucciones en poblaciones con recursos económicos limitados, que no tienen
alcance a la oportunidad de asesorarse con profesionales. Esto, en parte, conlleva a que
el ingeniero estructural considere dicho factor de la población vulnerable, buscando
mayor eficiencia y productividad en el desarrollo de los proyectos estructurales
pequeños. Asimismo, esto probablemente es insuficiente con la metodología
tradicional, siendo ahí donde se presenta prometedor implementar la metodología BIM,
mediante el modelo S-BIM, para optimizar el proceso de análisis y el diseño estructural
sismorresistente en edificaciones mixtas, con el objetivo de determinar la influencia de
los indicadores predominantes del modelo S-BIM como la interoperabilidad, la
parametrización, la automatización y la visualización 3D en dicho proceso.
Así mismo, se consideró muestra no probabilística espontánea, de cuatro
viviendas con sistemas estructurales mixtos, dos unifamiliares de dos pisos y dos
multifamiliares de cuatro y tres pisos. Además, para determinar la eficacia como las
eficiencias de costo, tiempo y productividad del modelo S-BIM, se ejecutó, en paralelo,
la metodología BIM (usando Autodesk Revit y ARSAP) con la tradicional (usando
AutoCAD y ETABS).
Finamente, los resultados obtenidos presentan que es muy eficiente y productiva
la aplicación del modelo S-BIM en el proceso de análisis y diseño estructural
sismorresistente, evidenciándose, en promedio, una mejora de la eficiencia en un 22 %
y la productividad en un 9 %. Por tanto, se concluye que al aplicar un modelo S-BIM,
se optimiza el proceso de análisis y diseño estructural sismorresistente en edificaciones
mixtas. Asimismo, se presenta como una alternativa para la detección y solución
temprana a todas las posibles incompatibilidades e interferencias entre disciplinas
durante la etapa de diseño.
