La pandemia por COVID-19 no solo dejó cientos de personas fallecidas en el Perú y en todo
el mundo, también legó secuelas físicas y sobre todo mentales, como: la ansiedad, depresión
y estrés, las cuales quedaron en segundo plano, debido a la saturación del sistema de salud y
otras complicaciones que se fueron desarrollando en el contexto. El objetivo del estudio fue
identificar los niveles de ansiedad, depresión y estrés y su grado de severidad asociándolo al
género y nivel de instrucción. La investigación se caracterizó por ser transversal de tipo
descriptivo y relacional; se aplicaron cuestionarios virtuales a los pobladores que pertenecían
a determinado grupo de Facebook. Se usó un muestreo de tipo no probabilístico. Se aplicó el
cuestionario estandarizado Dass-21 para definir la presencia y severidad de la ansiedad,
depresión y estrés. Los resultados señalan que, la frecuencia de ansiedad, depresión y estrés
fueron 61,4 %, 57,9 % y 55,7 % respectivamente. La asociación entre las variables y las
afecciones mentales dio un valor de p < 0,05 en la variable género en depresión, ansiedad y
estrés. Las conclusiones refieren que los índices elevados en los niveles extremadamente
severo de los tres trastornos psicológicos estudiados sugieren la necesidad de asesoramiento
psicológico en la población de Carmen de la Legua- Reynoso para reducir estos índices.
