Voces de cinco preescolares puertorriquenos, en torno al el significado del juego.
The purpose of this research with children is to give voice to five preschoolers living in Puerto Rico, in order to discover what play means for them and how they play in their educational environment. The work is based on the postmodern view of children and the new sociology of childhood. The multiple case study allows the researcher to ascertain the participants’ points of view. The children directed the study through the pictures they took and the conversations that developed during a guided tour, as they observed the photographs on a computer and in a book, and through the drawings of their favorite play center. For the five preschoolers, to play in the classroom meant to participate in a social process that allow them a source of possibilities to engage in a creative and reflexive act that facilitates them the construction of knowledge.
