Objective: To determine the relationship between lifestyles and metabolic syndrome in workers of the Llochegua Health Center, Ayacucho, 2020.
Material and method: Study of descriptive type, transverse and relational level, the sample was 45 workers who responded to a questionnaire with characterization variables and a scale type instrument of 15 items for the variable lifestyles and 18 items for the variable metabolic syndrome. The results were presented descriptively and Spearman's Rho test was used for the testing of hypotheses.
Results: Participants found that 73.3% have a lifestyle on a regular level, 15.6% good and 11.1% bad. In the physical activity dimension there was a regular level (51.1%), as well as eating habits (51.1%). In addition, 64.4% do not have metabolic syndrome and 35.60% do. 71.1% do not have obesity, 62.2% high blood pressure and 53.3% hyperglycemia. According to Spearman's correlation, a value of 0.524 was found, in addition to being significant (p-0.001).
Conclusions: There is a direct relationship (p-0.001) (0.524), between lifestyles and metabolic syndrome in workers of the Llochegua Health Center, Ayacucho, 2020.
