Resumen
This research presents the study of the correlation between the variables Parenting Styles and Aggressive Behaviors, which was applied at the primary level of the Private Educational Institution "My New Paradise", having as a population 59 students. The research is pure-correlational, that is, it is aimed at increasing existing knowledge, linked to the relationship between the variables established in the research. To obtain the results, the questionnaires were applied: Aggressiveness Scale of Little et. to the. (2003), as well as the CPRBI Schaefer Parental Styles Perception Questionnaire (1965). According to the results obtained, there is a significant relationship between parenting styles and aggressive behavior in children. Likewise, it was found that in some cases there are discrepancies in the styles used by father and mother, so that while parents tend to be more permissive, mothers tend to use an authoritarian style. On the other hand, the general results of the population specified that children who have a high level of aggressiveness live in an environment where there are discrepancies in the use of parenting styles, and children who obtained a medium level of aggressiveness live in a negligent environment by one of the parents, while the other uses a democratic style.
