El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general describir los factores
sociales que condicionan el comportamiento de compra del consumidor del hotel Belmond
Sanctuary Lodge. Para dicha finalidad, se tomó en cuenta las dimensiones de grupos de
referencia y roles y estatus. La metodología de la investigación fue de nivel descriptivo, el
enfoque cuantitativo y el diseño no experimental. Se aplicó el instrumento del cuestionario y la
técnica utilizada fue la encuesta, aplicada a sesenta y seis clientes del hotel Belmond Sanctuary
Lodge. Los resultados de la investigación señalan que los factores sociales que condicionan el
comportamiento de compra del consumidor del hotel obtuvieron un promedio de 3,10 que
refleja una puntuación media. De manera específica, los puntajes promedio de cada dimensión
indican que los grupos de referencia ejercen un condicionamiento regular con un valor de 2,64.
Los roles y estatus obtuvieron un 3,55 y son considerados como un alto condicionamiento
respecto al comportamiento del consumidor. The general objective of this research work was to describe the social factors that condition
consumer purchasing behavior at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, taking into account thedimensions of reference groups and roles and status. The methodology of the research was of adescriptive level, quantitative approach and non - experimental design. The questionnaireinstrument was applied and the technique used was the survey applied to sixty-six clients of theBelmond Sanctuary Lodge hotel. The results of the investigation indicate that the social factorsthat determine the purchasing behavior of the hotel consumer obtained an average of 3.10,which reflects an average score, specifically the average scores of each dimension indicate thatthe reference groups exercise regular conditioning with a value of 2.64; while the roles andstatus obtained a 3.55 considered as a high conditioning regarding consumer behavior.
