r=-0,195).
ponderal). Introduction: Preeclampsia is one of the most prevalent diseases during pregnancy and
generates many perinatal complications, for this reason the following objective was set: To
determine the relationship of preeclampsia with the anthropometry of the newborn at the
Antonio Lorena Hospital in Cusco during the period 2021.
Method: The population was 170 newborns whose sample was determined by the finite
population formula whose result was 120, the sampling was simple random probabilistic,
the data collection form was validated by expert judgment, the data was analyzed in the
program SPSS version 26, the Kolomogorov-Smirnov normality analysis and Spearman's
Rho correlation were used.
Results: It was determined that there is a statistically significant correlation between
preeclampsia and weight according to IMPROMI (p=0.000; r=-0.520) and
INTERGROWTH 21 ((p=0.000, r=-0.511); there is a statistically significant correlation
between preeclampsia and height according to IMPROMI (p=0.001; r=-0.300) and
INTERGROWTH 21 ((p=0.000, r=-0.339); there is a statistically significant correlation
between preeclampsia and head circumference according to IMPROMI (p=0.045, r=-0.184)
and INTERGROWTH 21 (p=0.023, r=-0.207), there is a statistically significant correlation
between preeclampsia and the ponderal index (p=0.033, r=-0.195).
Conclusions: It was determined that there is a statistically significant correlation between
preeclampsia and the anthropometry of the newborn (weight, height, head circumference,
ponderal index).
