El presente estudio corresponde a una investigación no experimental, de
corte transversal y de tipo descriptivo, correlacionar que tuvo por finalidad
determinar los principales factores sociodemográficos que se relacionan
con la elección y el uso de los métodos anticonceptivos en las mujeres en
edad fértil del Puesto de Salud Otuzco, Cajamarca durante el periodo julio
diciembre 2017. Para ello se tomó en cuenta las historias clínicas de las
mujeres en edad fértil usuarias de métodos anticonceptivos y atendidas
en el Puesto de Salud Otuzco, esos datos fueron recolectados en
encuestas; las mismas que fueron aplicadas a un total de 110 mujeres en
edad fértil. Los resultados evidencian que la muestra de estudio se
caracterizó en su mayoría por tener más de 35 años, procedentes de la
sierra, ser convivientes, tener un ingreso económico de 2 a 3 MV, con un
nivel educativo de secundaria completa, son amas de casa y profesan la
religión católica. El método anticonceptivo más usado son los inyectables
(60,9%), seguido de las píldoras (20,9%), preservativo (14,5%), y DIU
(36%).Los factores sociodemográficos edad, nivel educativo y la religión
se relacionan con la elección y uso de los métodos anticonceptivos. La
edad, el estado civil, el nivel educativo y la ocupación no tuvieron una
relación significativa con los métodos anticonceptivos.
