El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre la Comunicación Familiar y los Problemas Conductuales en estudiantes de secundaria. La muestra fue probabilística aleatoria y estuvo conformado por 170 adolescentes del 4to y 5to de secundaria de la I.E. Carlos Sutton, distrito de La Joya. La investigación se realizó para probar la hipótesis: es probable que exista relación entre la Comunicación Familiar y los Problemas Conductuales en adolescentes de 4to y 5to de secundaria. El instrumento utilizado para medir la variable comunicación familiar fue la Escala de Comunicación Padres-Adolescente (PACS; Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale) de Barnes y Olson (1982, 1985). Para la variable problemas conductuales se utilizó el Inventario de Problemas Conductuales de Achenbach y Destrezas Sociales (YSR), por Majluf (1999). El tipo de investigación es básico, diseño no experimental, relacional transversal. Los resultados indican que existe relación entre la Comunicación Familiar de la madre y los Problemas Conductuales, sin embargo, la comunicación familiar de los padres solo se relaciona en búsqueda de atención, somatización y problemas de relación en estudiantes del nivel secundario, no existen diferencias de problemas conductuales según sexo, pero sí existen según grado de estudios, en los indicadores problemas de conducta y problemas de relación. Comprobándose de esta manera la hipótesis de investigación.
