Incapacidad por dolor lumbar y factores asociados en militares que acuden al programa de Algias en el Hospital Militar Central

Resumen
Objetivo: El objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar el grado de
incapacidad por dolor lumbar en militares que acuden al programa de algias en
el Hospital Militar Central, Lima 2017.
Material y Métodos: Estudio descriptivo de tipo transversal, la muestra fue de
126 militares. De los cuales solo 124 participaron en el estudio. La ficha de
recolección de datos y escala de Oswestry son los principales instrumentos de
la investigación.
Resultados: Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el 48% que presentó
incapacidad intensa. El grupo etáreo más afectado fue de 40 a 49 años, los
resultados muestran que el 6% tenía discapacidad. Se observó que los
militares del grupo masculino mostraron mayor limitación funcional con el 43%
de incapacidad intensa. Los militares que se encontraban con sobrepeso,
presentaron una incapacidad intensa del 27%. Los militares que pertenecían al
Arma de Combate fueron los más afectados con el 23% de incapacidad
intensa. Se determinó que los militares que eran auxiliares tenían un grado
mayor de limitación funcional el 31% de incapacidad intensa. Los militares más
afectados, fueron aquellos que tenían de 11 a 20 años en el ejército, con el 7 %
de discapacidad.
Conclusiones: La mayor parte de muestra presento incapacidad funcional
intensa. La edad de 40 a 49 años, el sobrepeso, y los años de servicio son los
grupos que presentaron mayor grado de incapacidad funcional.
