Eficacia antibacteriana de la Clorhexidina y Glutaraldehído en la desinfección de jeringa triple y eyector empleados en la clínica Estomatológica de la UAP Chiclayo 2019

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo comparar los efectos antibacterianos de la
clorhexidina y el glutaraldehído en la desinfección de jeringas triples e inyectores
utilizados en clínicas dentales de la UAP Chiclayo 2019. Metodología: se realizó
una investigación de tipo experimental, in vitro, comparativo; diseño prospectivo y
nivel explicativo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 14 unidades dentales, el tipo
de muestreo empleado fue censal. La técnica empleada para la recolección de la
información fue la observación; empleándose una ficha de recolección de datos
elaborada para la investigación. Antes de la toma de la muestra, se dividio las 14
unidades presentes en 2 grupos, el grupo A y grupo B, ambos formados de 7
unidades dentales. Se tomaron las muestras de la superficie exterior de jeringas
triples y bases eyectoras antes de la limpieza y después de la limpieza y
desinfección. Al grupo A se les desinfectó con clorhexidina al 2% y al grupo B con
glutaraldehído al 2%. Resultados: La clorhexidina al 2% y el glutaraldehído al 2%
tuvieron el efecto de matar el estreptococo β-hemolítico en la desinfección de la
jeringa dental triple y la base del inyector, pero no tuvieron efecto en la eliminación
de Staphylococcus aureus. Comparando los efectos antibacterianos de la
clorhexidina y el glutaraldehído, existen diferencias en la capacidad de reducir los
microorganismos, donde ambos desinfectantes son efectivos contra el
Streptococcus β-hemolítico, pero la clorhexidina tiene el mejor efecto
antibacteriano.
