Fisiopatología renal en pacientes con Covid-19

La evidencia disponible a la fecha no se puede afirmar que exista evidencia de daño directo del virus en células renales, más bien, apuntan a la existencia de daño renal de origen multifactorial en un contexto de síndrome de respuesta inflamatoria aguda o sepsis. Por ello, se requiere de estudios adicionales para poder clarificar los mecanismos propuestos acerca de la fisiopatología renal de la COVID-19.
