Diagnóstico de Intolerancia a la Glucosa en Pacientes Mayores de 50 años, en el Servicio de Laboratorio del Hospital Suárez Angamos II – EsSalud, Lima 2010

Investigación que tiene como objetivo determinar el número de pacientes mayores a 50 años que acuden para realizarse un test de tolerancia oral a la glucosa (TTOG) y presentan intolerancia a la glucosa, en el servicio de laboratorio del Hospital Suárez Angamos II. Se realizó un estudio transversal descriptivo, en adultos mayores de 50 años, de ambos sexos, a quienes se les realizó el TTOG, durante el 2010. Los resultados mostraron que el número de pacientes mayores de 50 años con intolerancia a la glucosa es elevado debido al alto porcentaje de pacientes con glucemia alterada en ayunas. Investigación ganadora del Primer puesto, en el Nivel C, del Premio Kaelin 2011.
