Resumen
El radar de la UDEP permitirá realizar diversas investigaciones, por ejemplo: 1) para evaluar los algoritmos que permita cuantificar las lluvias obtenidas con el radar y del satélite GPM Global Precipitation Measurement mission), siguiendo los resultados de Valdivia (2018) y Villalobos (2016); 2) estudiar los mecanismos que desencadenan tormentas en la costa norte, siguiendo las metodologías propuestas por Flores et al. (2019) y Kumar et al. (2019), así como la validación de los modelos de pronóstico de lluvias (Moya-Alvarez, et al., 2018). Ello se logrará en estrecha colaboración con los investigadores del IGP.
