Estilos de conducción vehicular y rasgos de personalidad en estudiantes de universidades privadas de Lima Metropolitana

Resumen
El objetivo de la presente investigación fue describir la relación que existe entre estilos de conducción y rasgos de personalidad en estudiantes de universidades privadas de Lima Metropolitana. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 148 estudiantes con edades comprendidas entre 19 y 30 años (M=22.36, DE=2.06). Se utilizó una versión validada en este estudio del Inventario Multidimensional de Estilo de Conducción (MDSI-S) y el Big Five Inventory-15p (BFI-15p) para evaluar los rasgos de personalidad. Los resultados indicaron que el Estilo ansioso y el Estilo enojado de conducción se relacionan con el rasgo Neuroticismo; el Estilo cuidadoso de conducción, con los rasgos Responsabilidad y Afabilidad; se halló una relación inversa entre el Estilo arriesgado de conducción y el rasgo Afabilidad. Asimismo, se encontraron correlaciones entre el Estilo disociativo de conducción y los cinco factores de personalidad; sin embargo, no se halló ninguna correlación entre el Estilo enojado de conducción y Afabilidad. Las implicancias de estos hallazgos se muestran relevantes para la realidad de los conductores.
