| dc.description | Se trata de un trabajo innovador a nivel planta que se desarrolló en la Unidad de Visbreaking (UVB) de Refinería La Pampilla (RELAPASA), tecnología de ABB Lummus Global B.V. Comprendió el diseño conceptual, básico, justificación económica, diseño detallado, ejecución, puesta en marcha y operación en planta, obteniendo beneficio económico y productos en calidad.
El trabajo implicó modificaciones técnicas y operativas en la UVB la cual basa su operación en el craqueo térmico a alta temperatura y presión, del residual de vacío que sale como producto de fondos de las Unidades de Vacío. El objetivo de la UVB es romper las moléculas y obtener un producto más liviano y menos viscoso del que ingresa que requiera menor uso de diluyente para convertirlo en fuel oil.
En la búsqueda bibliográfica se encontró un artículo de la compañía PETROFINE especializada en hacer softwares de simulación para Refinerías, que cuentan con la Tecnología de la UVB tanto para el craqueo térmico del residuo de vacío, como para el craqueo térmico del HVGO (gasóleo pesado de Vacío).
Allí es donde nace la idea de hacer las modificaciones en el equipo y en las variables de proceso para producir diésel en la UVB procesando el HVGO que se alimenta a la unidad de FCC para producir gasolina de alto octano y LCO para preparar los diferentes tipos de Fuel Oil, que en el caso de RELAPASA era un excedente que se almacenaba y se exportaba.
Los balances de materia y energía son los que se obtuvieron en las evaluaciones reales en planta. Los equipos corresponden a los de las unidades de proceso reales. La evaluación económica efectuada muestra los beneficios obtenidos por procesar el HVGO como carga en la Unidad de Visbreaker. | |
| dc.description | This is an innovative work at the plant level that was developed in the Visbreaking Unit (UVB) of La Pampilla Refinery (RELAPASA), technology of ABB Lummus Global B.V. He understood the conceptual design, basic, economic justification, detailed design, execution, commissioning, and operation in plant, obtaining economic benefit and quality products.
The work involved technical and operational modifications in the UVB which bases its operation on the thermal cracking at high temperature and pressure, of the vacuum residual that comes out as a product of funds of the Vacuum Units. The goal of UVB is to break down the molecules and obtain a lighter and less viscous product than the one access that requires less use of diluent to convert it into fuel oil.
In the bibliographic search, an article was found from the company PETROFINE, specialized in making simulation software for Refineries, which have the UVB Technology both for the thermal cracking of the vacuum residue, and for the thermal cracking of the HVGO (heavy vacuum diesel).
That is where the idea of making the modifications of hardware and process variables to produce diesel in the UVB was born by processing the HVGO that is fed to the FCC unit to produce high octane gasoline and LCO to prepare the different types of Fuel Oil, which in the case of RELAPASA was a surplus that was stored and exported.
The balances of matter and energy are those obtained in the actual evaluations in the plant. The equipment corresponds to those of the actual processing units. The economic evaluation carried out shows the benefits obtained by processing the HVGO as a load in the Visbreaker Unit. | |
