Determina los factores asociados a la deserción del uso de métodos anticonceptivos durante la pandemia COVID-19. Estudio observacional, analítico, prospectivo y de corte transversal. Muestra de 241 usuarias del consultorio de Planificación Familiar del Centro Materno Infantil San Genaro, de la Dirección de Salud Lima Sur en Perú, entre noviembre de 2021 a marzo de 2022. Se evaluaron factores culturales, personales, sociodemográficos e institucionales y la deserción en métodos anticonceptivos. La validez del instrumento fue sometido a juicio de expertos y se determinó los puntajes mediante el V de Aiken = 0.85. Estudio aprobado por el comité de ética. Se empleó Test Chi-Cuadrado de Pearson y regresión logística binaria, ambos con un intervalo de confianza de 95% y p<0,05. El 74,3% de las usuarias se encontraban entre los 18 a 34 años. El 53,11% desertó al uso de métodos anticonceptivos. Los factores asociados fueron: la poca comunicación en la familia sobre el tema (p=0,026; RPa: 3,270; IC:1,149-9.307) y el miedo por las usuarias a contraer COVID-19 (p=0,022; RPa: 4,278; IC:1,230-14,876). Se concluye que la poca comunicación en la familia sobre el tema y el miedo por las usuarias a contraer COVID-19 son los factores asociados significativamente a la deserción de métodos.
