Palabras claves: Leiomioma, Neoplasias Uterinas, Útero Uterine leiomyomas are the most common benign uterine tumors in women, especially during their reproductive years. They are uterine smooth muscle tumors, can be classified as subserosal, intramural or submucosal, and can be single or multiple. The most common symptom is abnormal bleeding. The exact cause of leiomyomas remains unclear; several factors, such as genetic abnormalities, growth factor alterations, and blood vessel abnormalities, have been suggested to play a role in the development of leiomyomas. The objectives were to determine the risk factors that influence uterine leiomyomatosis in patients aged 30 to 60 years seen at Hospital General Guasmo Sur in the period from January 2019 to December 2021. The methodology of the present study had a quantitative approach since the information collected on the variables is processed, analyzed and exposed through statistical graphs. It consisted of a sample of 167 patients with a diagnosis of uterine leiomyoma in patients between 30 and 60 years of age, with a mean age of 43 years, the results were that 1.2% presented polycystic ovary syndrome, 4.2% Diabetes Millitus and obesity, 20.4% Arterial Hypertension; only 0.6% consumed alcohol and 89.8% were multigestation. Forty-one percent presented intramural fibroids, 19% were submucous and 96% received hysterectomy as treatment. Keys words: Leiomyoma, Uterine Neoplasms, Uterus
