Currently, writing allows our brain to analyze the data it receives and organize it to better capture ideas and concepts, this means that it is possible to learn and process information. However, this process has become very routine, leaving aside the potential to develop critical thinking. For this reason, the objective of this study is to design innovative teaching strategies for writing, in line with instances of reading, so that in this way students develop solid writing skills. For this, a qualitative methodology and research - action were followed, where the application of at least two of these didactic strategies was considered, to a population of 29 students belonging to the First Baccalaureate of the “Unidad Educativa Particular Católica de Cuenca". Among the most relevant results we have that the strategies managed to capture the attention and interest of the students, helped to improve the writing of descriptive and argumentative texts, which had a positive impact on the students and this will support the teachers.
