Resumen
Psychological well-being proposes a life of fullness in the long term, and not just ephemeral
satisfaction. In the year 2020, due to an infectious disease called COVID - 19, the world was
forced into confinement to prevent its spread. As a result of this, psychological well-being was
influenced by contextual factors such as the pandemic, which has affected different areas of
human life, in particular, students in universities. The purpose of this research is to describe
the post-confinement psychological well-being by COVID - 19 in students of the Faculty of
Psychology of the University of Cuenca in the period March - August 2022. The study follows
a quantitative approach with a type of non-experimental design of cross section and descriptive
scope. We will work with a representative sample of 258 students, who are studying Bachelor's
degrees in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology and Social Psychology.
The instruments to be used will be the Carol Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale, which
objectively evaluates the dimensions of psychological well-being and a sociodemographic
record with relevant variables such as age, sex, career, marital status and socioeconomic
conditions. It is expected to obtain descriptive results of the six dimensions that make up
psychological well-being in university students, grouped in a database that will be useful for
future research and programs for the prevention and promotion of psychological well-being.
