Análisis poblacional de nematodos en tres etapas productivas diferentes del cultivo de tomate de árbol (Solanum betaceum Cav) en el cantón Guachapala-Azuay

The production of tree tomato Solanum betaceum Cav, has been largely affected by
different phytopathogenic diseases. One of the diseases that causes damage to said
crop is caused by nematodes, which is why it was decided to analyze the abundance of
nematode populations present in the soil and root, at different depths and at three
chronological ages of the crop, in the canton Guachapala province of Azuay. Soil
samples were collected in tomato plantations in the initial stage, in the productive stage
and in the final stage at 5 depths (5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm, and 25 cm). Through this
descriptive study, different situations could be evidenced, multiple linear regression
models were used, and for the extraction of nematodes the Bearman funnel method was
used. Through this investigation it was possible to know the number of nematodes, the
species of phytopathogenic nematodes that predominated, being: Psilenchus spp,
Helicotylenchus spp, Aphelenchus spp, Meloidogyne spp, Criconemoides spp,
Xiphinema spp. And the distribution of the populations of nematodes present at different
depths and in three chronological stages of the tree tomato crop being statistically
significant.
