This document analyzes the restructuring of commerce and service centralities as an effect of the resilient behavior of the urban system after the pandemic in the El Ejido sector of the city of Cuenca-Ecuador. The methodology consists of a historical spatial analysis that characterizes the stages of the system's resilience process: growth (mapping of facts); and, conservation and reconstruction (IDW linear modeling). On the one hand, we worked with plans and historical images of Cuenca available in the municipal archives, and on the other, with data on land use collected by the Territory Research Group in the years 2019 and 2022. The results show how the character that El Ejido has acquired throughout its growth have influenced the way in which the system was restructured after the pandemic. Thus, the commerce and service centralities that characterized the study area before the pandemic show a spatial tendency to maintain their location, however, internally the activities that originated them were modified, thus the system absorbed the disturbances. caused by the pandemic without modifying its basic spatial structure, but by modifying variables such as the type of activity
