Resumen
The purpose of this research was to characterize physicochemistry (pH, electrical conductivity, organic carbon, color, humidity and macro and microelements) and microbiologically (plate count of microorganisms, colonial morphological characterization, and promotion of root growth of radish seeds (Raphanus sativus) vicuna manure (Vicugna vicugna mensalis) in the Chimborazo Fauna Production Reserve to formulate a liquid biofertilizer. With the characterization of the vicuna manure, it was possible to generate a biofertilizer that is friendly to the environment and contribute to the development and economic well-being of the nearby communities of the Fauna Chimborazo Production Reserve (RPFCh). The total study area was 26,199 corresponding to the parishes of San Juan (Zone 1) and Pilahuín (Zone 2), where 16 homogeneous samples were collected between the superficial and deep part of them (GIDAG protocol). The samples were taken to the Environmental Research and Development laboratory to be analyzed following the protocols of the research group. For the analysis of the data, the statistical software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to compare the measurements of the factors analyzed between Zone 1 and Zone 2. It was concluded that the samples collected from vicuña manure from the RPFCh presented physicochemical and microbiological characteristics suitable to be applied on crops, so it could be used in the formulation of a biofertilizer due to the high percentages of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium that it presented, it is recommended to achieve a metagenomic study of the microorganisms present in vicuna manure to be able to give a treatment to the microorganisms pathogens that cause crop damage and health problems in humans.
