Resumen
The present study developed a proposal for the design of a quality management system, based on the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard, for the Training School of the Union of Operators and Mechanics of Road Equipment in the Province of Napo SOMEC, which was created with the aim of training professional drivers who need to acquire the type "G" license. The design of this system aims to contribute to the organization to rely on a quality policy for the service it offers, which can help improve its performance and increase the satisfaction of its internal and external customers. To do this, an analysis of the current operation of the organization was carried out comparing the principles determined by the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard. Based on this, a proposal for the design of the quality management system was developed, which is expected to be assumed by the organization for its functioning and operability. This International Standard uses the process approach, incorporates the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and risk-based thinking, which allows an organization to plan its processes, their interactions, and prevents that its processes and itsr quality management system deviate from planned results.
