Resumen
The objective of this work was to reformulate the socioeconomic file of the students of the Faculty of Public Health, to analyze the current economic situation for the collection of the differentiated tuition and to verify if they can access the scholarship for low resources, for which it was classified in different quintiles according to their socioeconomic level; an online survey was performed through the Microsoft Forms platform, in order to extract 36 variables that were previously selected by Student Welfare that reflect the different latent aspects of the socioeconomic reality of the students who are the object of this study. 336 were sampled from a population of 2685 by simple random sampling. Multivariate techniques were applied by the nonlinear principal components method to quantify the variables, thus calculating the quintiles to replace the type of school that they came from by the quintile according to their socioeconomic level, thus charging differentiated tuition and seeing if they can access a scholarship, the projection of the value to be paid was also performed depending on which quintile they are in by their socioeconomic level for quintile 1 it is 11.75 for quintile 2 it is 12.48 for quintile 3 it is 13.28, quintile 4 is 13.90 and finally quintile 5 is 18.01. It is concluded that the majority of students are in quintile two lower middle class and quintile three middle class, 39.88% of students can access a scholarship for low resources. It is recommended to establish guidelines that allow students who obtain a scholarship to be those whose socioeconomic level is poor, but, in addition, a certain range in terms of their averages can be established as a plus, so that it would be an aid not only financial but also pedagogical.
