Proyecto de factibilidad para la creación de un centro de acopio de cacao fino de aroma, en la parroquia Pancho Negro, cantón la Troncal, provincia de Cañar

Abstract

The objective of this research work was to develop a feasibility study for the implementation of a fine cocoa collection center for the Pancho Negro parish, La Troncal canton, province of Cañar. It was carried out through a qualitative-quantitative methodology, with the use of analytical and synthetic methods, with a descriptive, field, and exploratory design. The implementation of various research techniques such as the interview and the survey were applied to the cacao-producing population and the consumers of this product. Thus, the following results were obtained: in recent years, the population has had a production capacity of 75% of fine cocoa on each hectare; 80% is dedicated to the agriculture of non-traditional products. 100% of the production in Pancho Negro area is destined for commercialization. Therefore, it was determined that the area is agricultural and is suitable for the creation of a storage center to facilitate marketing in better conditions for the producer and the consumer. In addition to these data, the feasibility of the project was focused on a market study, a technical study, a legal administrative study, and a financial study. Concluding from the financial point of view, through the evaluation of the NPV a positive value of $112.2563 was achieved, an IRR of 23%, an investment recovery period of 2 years; as well as its Benefit-Cost Ratio of $1.52; in such a way that they are established as attractive conditions for the investors of the project in a commercial way and at the same time improve the conditions of the farmers in the area. It is recommended to make technical use of this research work to implement the center and strengthen the local economy.
